Who can go to meals?
Anyone seeking nourishment and fellowship is welcome. There are no other requirements, however for everyone’s safety anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Do I need to bring money or identification?
No. Meals are free and all are welcome.

Do you provide transportation?
The Groton Senior Center will provide service for seniors if requested. Call 860-441-6785 for more information.

Are the meal sites handicapped accessible?
Yes. If concerned about a particular site, contact us (scroll to bottom of page).

Can I have seconds?
Once all guests have been served and no more guests are likely to arrive, seconds are usually available.

Can my whole family go?
Yes! All are welcome.

Where does the food come from?
Meals are cooked on-site by our volunteers. Ingredients come from local food banks (including the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center) or are donated by community organizations and individuals.

What about bad weather?
If Groton Public Schools are closed or have an early dismissal due to weather we will not serve a meal that night.  We’ll also post the closing the website.
